WHAT IS THE NATURE OF EVIL?
The following prolog is written by the editor to give some background information regarding the text cited from one of the B of L Lessons
Pure Evil cannot exist as a creation of an all-pervasive Deity of Beauty and Light. This is due to the lack of any correspondence between Beauty and Light and so-called Evil. What we think of as Evil is our own human character living a life motivated by the soul’s animal nature; a human acting in a selfish manner, as if there are no consequences for their actions. Many other Religious Beliefs look for a reason for evil caused by an Evil god/being, the supposed adversary of all that is Beauty and Light. The use of this model of Evil is the tool of those who wish to control people. Only fully developed Human beings are capable of acting in a way that creates what most people call Evil. No Soul is lost except by their own attachment to Human desires. The fate of these individuals who act in an Evil manner is outlined in the description of the Astral Hells found in: Chapter 7 ‘Earth-Bound Souls and the Astral Hells’
